Additional semester

The university allows the introduction of the summer semester (with the exception of the graduate course) to meet the requirements for additional education, to eliminate academic debt or the difference in curricula, to study academic disciplines and the adoption of credits by students in other universities.
To retake the exam from the negative unsatisfactory mark to a positive mark, student in the next academic period or in the summer semester, again attends all kinds of training sessions provided for by the working curriculum for this discipline, gains clearance and passes final control.
The summer semester is carried out on a fee basis.
The duration of the summer semester is determined in accordance with the academic calendar and lasts at least 6 weeks.
The maximum number of credits possible to study in one summer term is 12-18 credits.
Students, who have academic debts on the state examination "History of Kazakhstan", re-visit all types of training sessions in the summer semester, fulfill the requirements of current monitoring and retake the exam in the period of work of the state examination board.
The cost of one credit during the summer semester is approved by the order of the rector for every academic year.
To obtain admission to the summer semester, the student, at the end of the summer interim attestation, fills the established application form with the intention to participate in the summer semester. The completed application form is agreed with the dean of the faculty. The student pays for the summer semester in the bank, with which a cooperation agreement has been concluded. With the application and the original receipt for payment, the student applies to the accounting department of the university, where an accountant marks the application. The application is submitted to the dispatch department within three working days after the completion of the summer interim attestation.
The student is given the right to choose a teacher. At the same time, it is not allowed to conduct classes by teachers who conducted this discipline to the student during the theoretical training (fall / spring semester).
The final form of control is exercised by the teacher who conducted the training sessions for this discipline during the summer semester.

Exams are held during the last three days in the last week of the summer semester after the end of the theoretical training course. Reexaminations for the subjects studied during the summer semester are not allowed.
According to the results of the examinations in the disciplines of the specialty curriculum, studied during the summer semester, the Grade Point Average (GPA) of the current academic year will be recalculated.
With the low Grade Point Average (GPA), unsatisfactory results of the summer semester and intermediate attestation, students are granted the right to have a re-training.
The students, who have received unsatisfactory grades and who did not receive a proper GPA by the results of the summer semester, are deprived of state educational grants.
At the end of the summer semester, the dean's office determines the GPA of every student and issues an order to transfer them from course to course.
